More than 12,000 Kassam rockets have been launched from Gaza into Israel over the past 10 years. The results so far have been devastating and deadly. Over 600 Israelis have been injured and 28 lives have been lost as a result of this constant bombardment. The Israeli Government is doing its best to protect its citizens and defend itself against these brutal attacks, however, this hasn't been easy or without a cost...
In December 2008 the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) carried out a response to the missile bombardment by entering Gaza and attempting to deliver a heavy blow to Hamas and deter the rockets from being launched from Gaza. However, the IDF faced a difficult enemy as they hid themselves within civilian areas. Even today the IDF cannot effectively respond to rocket launchers due to the fact that 97% of the rockets are fired from civilian populated areas in Gaza, often nearby schools, hospitals, and mosques. Since the so called "cease-fire" of January 2009, more than 445 Kassam rockets and mortars have been fired from Gaza into Southern Israel to date, according to our sources.
Despite all that Hamas is doing to destroy Israel and kill innocent people, there are some Israeli citizens that are responding in a very different manner. In fulfillment of the biblical prophecy recorded in Isaiah 2:4, ordinary Israelis are taking steps to end this cycle of "an eye for an eye" and "a tooth for a tooth.".
The members of Moshav Yated, located on the border of Gaza and Egypt inside of Israel, have taken the shells of thousands of rockets that have rained down upon them and are making them into useful objects. Yaron Bob is the master craftsman that leads his team of men into beating the Kassam rockets of the enemy into "plowshares." The "plowshares" they make are not farming tools but rather objects of beauty, like the menorah pictured here.

We at Israel Today Magazine are working together with Yaron Bob and his team of skilled men to promote their products to our customers. It is our hope that you will take the opportunity to purchase one of these products made from Kassam rockets and support those who are living in the Land of Israel.
