The annual festival for planting trees in Israel has finally arrived. Tu B'Shvat is a time of great celebration in Israel and is a festival that the whole family enjoys; eating dried fruits and nuts, singing songs, reciting blessings, and planting trees.

In connection to this yearly festival which recognizes the new cycle of growth for trees, Israel Today has participated in a ceremony for the dedication of the forest that so many of you have helped to plant.

On Thursday, February 9, 2012, Keren Kayemet L'Israel has marked the official opening of the forest donated through Israel Today members and donors. The forest is approximately 50 dunams or about 12.35 acres in size. The forest is marked by a stone which indicates that this forest was planted through donors of Israel Today.
