Eilat Stone is the name for a green-blue inhomogeneous mixture of several secondary copper minerals including malachite, azurite, turquoise, pseudomalachite, chrysocolla and others. The Eilat stone is the National stone of Israel, and is also known as the King Solomon Stone.

The Eilat stone is a mix of malachite, turquoise and chrysocolla so the color of the stone is green and blue with black spots. It comes in shades of green and blue. The stones are usually cut as cabochons or tumble polished and incorporated in free form style into jewelry. Freeform shapes are often utilized to create jewelry that is simultaneously elegant and casual.

The city of Eilat is Israel's southernmost city. The mines from which it came are believed to have been the copper mines of King Salomon. The stone, in fact, is often referred to as "King Solomon Stone."

Clean your Eilat stone with a soft cloth with a little water and a small amount of liquid soap seperate. Brushes and chemicals used to clean the setting can damage the stone.
